Grand valley funeral home is the ones that graciously offered there service's to take care of Alex Head.they took care of paperwork calls,funeral and most importantly Alex's cremation and did it for $500.00 . they're the ones that truly went beyond the call of duty.so before you think you know everything,you don't, they were professional caring and gave more then they had to.You have all forgotten is was about Alex. I thank you GVFH and my God forgive the rest of you. And the last time I read the Bible mourning was Free.

We join with all who loved our precious Alex in saying that he was one of the sweetest spirits to ever grace this earth. We were privileged to know him, to love him, and to call him our own. Lavender and Josh, you wrapped your love around him from the day he was born, and even before that, and you will continue to hold him close in your heart until you can once more hold him in your arms in heaven. Until then, know that your golden child is now one of heavens brightest angels and his love for you will never be more than a heart beat away. Our love and our prayers are with you and with Mell and the children.

My family and I would like to thank everyone who has gone above and beyond to help find our son and even continue to help through this hardest time of our lives. The many businesses too. City Market and Little Caesars kept us fed and hydrated out in that sun all those days. Also if it weren't for Rocky Mountain river rafts loaning us our rafts then this could of turned out much worse. Also TNT paintball is the best they opened up with short notice so we could get some well needed therapy and my other son could have a good birthday. We know how wonderful our son was and we know he touched so so many people. His funeral services will be held this coming Wednesday July 20th at 10:00 am in the morning at the CMU Moss Performance auditorium in Grand Junction. We would like it to be completely open to the public so that anyone can come even people who don't know him and came and helped with the search may attend if they like. Arrangements are being handled by Grand Valley Funeral Homes in Grand Junction, Colorado. We also are planning a candle light vigil at corn lake where we plan to drop rises in the river and write letters and send them up with balloons. Our hearts are so heavy and the devastation we feel is surreal but we look forward to hearing all the stories for how many lives he affected. Thank you so much again to the community for there love and support.

I would Personally like to thank Mesa County Search and Rescue and the Mesa County Sheriffs Office. All of the Volunteers who diligently kept at the task of helping us find Alex. I know at times we were less than kind and please forgive us you are very much appreciated and with out you we would not have found Alex and got him home.
I thank Shelly Baier and Travis Baier the owners of Rimrock Adventures in Fruita, when I called and told them who I was, they asked me what I needed and told me to come and get it. They let me use costly equipment, on just my name and asked for nothing in return. You are all truly a blessing in my time of need. Because of you we were able to find Alex and bring him home.
And, to Thvesn and Kevin the two men that helped me get the rafts together so we could get in the river. with out you it would have taken longer, you were a god send to me. Thank You!
All of the People, Salvation Army, all of the Churches, Sonic, McDonalds and all of the others that kept looking, praying, giving, and talking about Alex that kept the search going, I Thank You!
And to Rachael, thank you for the kind words and holding me when i was alone in one of the darkest times of my life.
