Ione Lou Jane O'Brien, 80, passed away August 15, 2018 at her home in Whitewater, Colorado. Ione was born to John and Lorraine (Albert) Janulis in Chicago, Illinois on January 6, 1938.

Ione, her husband, Raymond and family moved to the Grand Junction area in August of 2001. She was a business accountant for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Raymond E. O'Brien,Sr.; Sons, Raymond E. O'Brien,Jr. and Ed J. O'Brien all of Whitewater. Daughters: Debbie O'Brien, Elmhurst, Illinois, Linda Wentworth, Glade Park, Colorado, Kathy O'Brien, Wheaton, Illinois and Dawn Reid of Hickory Hills, Illinois. One brother, John Janulis of Tryon, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

There will a celebration gathering at the chapel at Grand Valley Funeral Home, 2935 Patterson Rd., Grand Junction Colorado, 81504 on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 3 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. To anyone unable to attend you can leave condolences, sign the book or send in photos on this website. Please come and help the family celebrate Ione's life at this gathering.
