Gustavo Vasquez Obituary

Gustavo "Gus" Vasquez , born December 22,1935 in El Mulato, Chihuahua México. Gus was the son of Reyes and Paulina Vasquez. He was a man that carried many titles; he was a devoted son, a brother, an uncle, a wonderful husband, a caring father and a champion grandfather. Gus met and married the love of his life Albina back in October 7,1955 together they celebrated an amazing 66 years of marriage in 2021. Gus and Albina had three children Martha Quintero (Robert), Isela Novotny (Yuri) and Randy (RaeAnn). As well grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Gus was a very talented man, nothing became impossible for him and whatever he did, he pretty much did it well. He loved to work so most of his life he spent as a rancher as well as a mechanic. Gus was eventually able to retire and spent many years at home with his loving wife.

Gus was a very caring man and always placing the need of others above his own, practicing “love thy neighbor”. One thing that will be greatly missed are his stories, stories of the days gone by and stories of his life. Yet not only the stories but his jokes, he loved to make others laugh and smile. Yes, even if you didn’t speak his language, you eventually understood what he was trying to share with you.  Gus not only enjoyed seeing others joyful, but he had joy, this joy came from his love for God. Gus loved and served his father until the day he went home to spend eternity in his father’s presence.

We will see you again cowboy!
