Donald Leon Kerns

On May 13, 2020, Donald “Don” Leon Kerns, loving husband and father of four daughters, passed away. Don was born on July 5, 1942 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Ray L Kerns and Elva “Jane” Walker. On February 28, 2003, he married Rosi Blauschmidt of Kaiserslatern Germany. He had four daughters, Devin Addision, Vinca (married to Basil) Williams, Valerie Guerra, Shree (married to Daniel) Castaneda. He had 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by father, Ray Kerns, and mother, Jane Walker. Survived by his wife, Rosi, sister Nancy (married to Elmer) Wohl of Morrill Nebraska, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Don was active duty for six years in the US Army, then continued to serve his country serving as a funeral director for 29 years, both in and out of the armed forces. Throughout his life, Don had a flare for travel and was able to visit many places including Greece and Spain. Through his adventures he made many friends and enjoyed the local cuisine. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time on his boat.
