Barbara Dean Kelley

Barbara Dean Kelley aka Barbara Dean Wise aka Barbara Dean Rockwell was born December 14, 1936, at the bottom of the Colorado National Monument in the CC Camp.  She went to school in Nederland Colorado until the end of the 11th grade.  She eloped with Ernest Daniel Rockwell and was married in 1954.  They had four boys, Daniel; Ned; Steven, and Derril. "I loved all my boys very much and tried to raise them the best I could."  She re-married to Ronald Bruce Kelley in 1972 in Meeker Colorado.  Ronald had 2 children Bruce & Faye Kelley which made a 6 pack for them.  She loved her horses & cats but she loved all animals.  She taught horses tricks and was a jockey for 7 years.  She struggled with Dementia her last few years as well as cancer and the pain which comes with cancer.  She finally gave in to the fight on March 24, 2022.  A harpist was playing "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove".  Her son was holding her hand as her spirit left through her eyes; it filled the room and onto our Heavenly Father.  She is survived by her 3 siblings, LaNita; Dixie; and Gordon.  Three sons, Daniel; Ned & Derril; 1 step-son Bruce and 1 step-daughter, Faye.  Barbara had grandchildren as well as adopted grandchildren.  A few great-grandchildren by marriage and lots of adopted children and grandchildren. She has many friends and family who loved her very much and will always have her in their hearts.  Barbara was a very loved lady.

There will be a potluck/bbq for Barbara Dean Kelley on April 30, 2022, at her home 1006 Old 6 & 50, Mack CO around 12:30-1.  Bill Bartley will be playing and it will be like one of mom's Easter Rides minus the ride.
