Willa Jean Madrid

Willa Jean Madrid, 70, passed away at her home in Grand Junction, Co on Friday, July 28, 2017. She was born April 12, 1947 to Betty (Williams) and Harvey Filener in Paonia, Colorado. Jeanie (as family called her) and her parents spent her early years in several places including Escalante Canyon, Co, Washington State and Alaska. They settled in Ceres, CA where she graduated from high school. Jean (to friends and co-workers) spent her early adult years in California, with a short detour to Washington State, and returned to Colorado in 1981.

Jean is survived by sons, Eric Blaco and Kevin Madrid, 2 granddaughters, 1 great granddaughter, a sister, Gail Giandonato and husband Tony, 2 nephews and 1 niece. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as taking drives, bowling and playing games with family. Since retiring from StarTek in 2015, she enjoyed the constant companionship of her dogs.
