Travis Carothers

Travis Duane Carothers "Taj", died unexpectedly in Grand Junction, CO on June 18th, 2017 at the age of 36. Travis is survived by his parents Karl Carothers Sr of Decatur, IL, Deborah Bramhall of Decatur, IL and Donna Knutt of Grand Junction, CO. His wife Rebecca Erman and children Marissa (18), Marcus (16), Jaden (16), Andre (14), Jamyson (14), Anthony (14), Aveah (10), Trevon (10), and Amani (4). His Brother Karl Jr of Grand Junction. His Brother Joshua and wife Rene of Grand Junction. Two sisters Dannie and Jatarra Knutt of Grand Junction. He is preceded in death by his Great Aunt Ruth, Grandfather Jack, Uncle Robert, Uncle Mickey and his Grandmother Patricia. Travis was born on August 25th, 1980 in Bloomington, IL to Karl Carothers and Deborah Bramhall. Travis worked in the oil field. He was a dedicated father and enjoyed caring for his children. Travis always had a smile on his face and loved music. He loved to drive and be outdoors jet skiing, four wheeling, going on the monument. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him. A funeral service is scheduled for June 29th at Clifton Christian Church, located at 2010, 615 I-70 Bus Loop, at 12 P.M. Followed by a graveside service at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the V.F.W Post 1247. pastor Amani Bullock will officiate the ceremony all are welcome to attend and celebrate Travis's life.
