My dear Shaun I will deeply miss you. I was glad I was able to talk to you and tell you that I loved you, a few weeks before you left us. I was deeply saddened to find out you were near the end, but once you told me you were at peace, I was as well. Now as your on the other side, I want to say thank you. Thank you for loving me, being my friend and keeping me on my toes all through high school. Halloween will always be our special day. I'll never forget you as a witch coming out of the truck stop kitchen, with the wildest hair I'd ever seen in my life complete with ten tons of hairspray, sitting on my lap and planting this huge kiss on me and saying "Happy Halloween Baby" I turned fifty shades of red, but that was an amazing thrill and surprise for a 17 year old. I will hold that memory and that kiss in my heart for forever Also thank you for all the talks in 2006 when my last relationship was failing, and reminding me that I was an amazing catch and any woman who turned me loose was an idiot. A very deep thank you for what you meant to Mom and being her friend. She is lost without you Shaun as am I. Thank you for everything that you did for us and meant to both of us. To my buddy Phil I know this will be tough but keep your head up. I'm a facebook message away if you need me. To Matt I only knew you through pictures, but you turned out to be an amazing kid. Your mother was amazing, and she is always with you. Carry her in your heart and remain strong, just like I know she would want you to be. RIP Shaun I love you with all my heart. Till we meet again my sweet angel, fly high and use those wings to slap anybody that gets outta line up there. Your God's newest waitress/ truck driver, keep the tables clean and the coffee flowing up there, and keep your log books current and those highways of heaven safe.

Shaun was one if not my mothers closest friend when my brother and I were little boys. Shaun knew us and our behavior and she was always so kind to us.
