Geraldine A. Bennett, 82, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 6th, 2019. She was born March 25th, 1937 in Hastings, MN, daughter of the late William and Ethel Simmons. She is survived by her spouse George H. Bennett, sister Rita Quinn, children Mike Bennett (Jackie Bennett), Joyce Conner (Jeff Conner), Lisa Peterson (Brent Peterson) and Paul Bennett. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Clarissa, Jessica, Matthew, Alicia, Cherise, Melissa, Christina and Cela, and her 11 great grandchildren, Ashton, Keegan, Auron, Jameson, Caeleigh, Neva, Joey, Sailor, Reverie, Dante and Foxxen, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She enjoyed life to the fullest, spent nearly thirty years square dancing and round dancing, her passion. She loved visiting theme parks with her children and grand children, traveling, going on vacations, Montana and playing bingo. She spent a large part of her life in Montana, enjoying places like Glacier Park. She was an amazing mother, the best grandmother and great grandmother, and a great wife. Her family all love her, and miss her dearly. She was loved by everyone who met her, and had a way with making everybody smile. She loved to play games with her family, such as cards and dominoes. Family was everything to her. Jerry, as she liked to be called, was saved when she was a kid, and joined Clifton Christian Church in 2011. She has followed Christ her whole life, and it was shown in the way she lived her life.
There will be a small memorial service November 22nd, at 11:30 A.M., at Clifton Christian Church, on F ¼ road, Clifton CO. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to HopeWest Hospice Care Center, in Grand Junction, CO.
