Elizabeth (Betty) May (Pollock) Benson passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at her home in Fruita, Colorado.
Betty was the second child born to William and Lois Pollock, a pioneering family, on November 17, 1925, in Fruita, Colorado. The family homestead is still named Pollock Canyon, a well-known recreation area today.

Betty was a wonderful mother, aunt, and grandmother. She was very involved in the Fruita United Methodist Church and was the “ Demo Lady “ at the Fruita City Market, for many years.
Betty is survived by her children: Sharon Gonzales of Atascadero, CA, Linda Hudson (Mark) of Loma, CO, Ed Benson (Jo), of Grand Junction, and Rick Benson (Terri) of Grand Junction. In addition, her love spread to 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by husband Jim, granddaughter Krista, and her brother James. She is survived by brothers, Robert and Walter Pollock, and sister Norma Gobbo.
