I met Steve when I started working at Grand Junction Chrysler. I was new to the mechanic world and Steve always had time to lend a helping hand. I worked with him until he retired and always considered him a mentor and a friend. I remember the time I told him I had an old gun that my grand father had found and I brought it in to show him. He ended up finding out everything about it and ended up restoring it for me for free. He said it was practice for retirement and would never accept any money for it just a lunch. He always had an interesting story and was always in a good mood. I was so sorry to hear of his passing as we had kind of lost touch after he retired. We often went to lunch and sometimes went shooting on our lunch breaks. There is no doubt he is in a better place now. RIP Steve

Sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Ron knew him from Junior High and High school. We enjoyed keeping in touch with Judy and Steve. Over time we lost contact with you but remember the times we spent with you. The Odwyer family has always been good to us. Remember his Dad and Mom well and still have some contact with Jerry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I would like to say that I have never met a man so caring and friendly. From the moment I met him, I felt like he was a father and brother to me. I enjoyed our conversations about life and everything in-between. My father couldn't ordain me a high priest because of health issues and so I asked Steve. What a powerful blessing that was. He is my mentor, friend and example. I hope I can live up to the example he set. Thank you Steve and Judy for being there for our family in so many ways! We love you both and will always treasure the time spent and examples set. We love you. Jess and Dede Pollard

Steve was very much missed at our 1962 55th Reunion, on Saturday, September 23. I talked to him on Friday when he was still in the hospital, and he was hoping to get out and still come to the reunion dinner on Saturday evening. We will miss Steve and his wonderful smile and sense of humor. The ones on the reunion committee saw him on Saturday, September 9 for our final planning. We were all very glad to see him, and count it a privilege we saw him that one last time.

Dearest Judy and Family; Our deepest sympathy to all of you on the loss of Steve. It was a great honor to get to know him through Judy.
